Laser Cutting
Two Bystronic Byspeed 3015 lasers and four Mazak CNC laser cutters for short run, complex metal parts. Laser cutting is a fast, economical way to produce short-run, complex metal parts and is often a cost –effective alternative to machining.
Recently QTS purchased a 6000 watt Bystronic Byspeed Laser. This state of the art laser combined with our other Bystronic Byspeed Laser and four existing Mazak lasers to cut aluminum, stainless steel and mild steel of various thicknesses. The laser department can cut preformed 3D shapes, precision cut pipe, tube and structural steel and bevel-cut flat pate. Laser capability gives QTS the ability to cut highly intricate patterns and shapes. Each part is programmed by computer so no tooling is needed.
